When we saw these building blocks we went nuts! The Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie House and the leaning tower of Pisa were just too cool! I guess you could say we're just kids at heart!
Ennis House Pattern Blocks
Product # TY-WB-EH
Frank Lloyd Wright believed that everything in
nature could be
broken down into basic geometric shapes. One of the
most famous examples of this is the Aline Barnsdall
Residence in Los Angeles where Mr. Wright inter-
preted the hollyhock flowers as rows of squares and
rectangles. This decoration is seen throughout the
house in the art glass, furniture and ornamentation
on the interior and exterior of the house. In creat-
ing this abstraction of nature, there is a process
that takes you from the actual tree or flower to the
geometric shapes. This set comes with 110 natural
maple blocks and an instruction book with exercises
so children, students and adults can learn to use Mr.
Wright's principles of nature patterns. $33.50
